May 26 slapdash crank and rodsThe next stage is to design a crankshaft.
I already knocked up a makeshift one to get a feel for it but its a little slapdash for my liking.
the con rods will be the hardest part because they are so small but have to be so acurate.
I have a few ideas about it in my head and reality is looming fast. May 24 wonderful machine mk 2I abandond the first attempt at the wonderful machine because it was throwing up too many problems.
A simple redesign of how the bores fit the crank case has solved removed the hassle of making the honing machine for a while.

It's been a while but I've been a bit busy and the shed was so full of crap that in the end I just couldn't get into it.
Its taken a couple of weeks but its nearly sorted out.

Its now in it second year and its doing ok
