all I have to do now is wait till Wednesday for the contractors to make good the council side of the hole and then wait for the bill.

I have decided to put the fence further into the garden.

I have been putting  up a fence around our modest front garden over the weekend and if I say so myself its looking quite nice.

when I got home from work today I thought I would do a little more and started to dig a hole for the corner post. it turns out that I have to chisel through concrete right from the start.

ok then out with the chisel and the lump hammer, some time later and ten inches deeper I decide that a hefty scaffold pole will do a better job of breaking through.

I am now waiting for the electricity board to come and repair the cable that nearly blinded me with the flash as I hit it

lucky I wasn't using child labour     things could have been a lot worse.

I've decided I'm going to take my computer apart and give it some grief on the inside bits.

It crashes constantly at the moment and I can't afford a new one so I'm going to get my head around the insides.

I think there may be a loose wire in the power pack as its on its second one already and the symptoms are the same.

last time it went there was an unpleasant burning smell and a little smoke and I don't really want to risk it happening again.

Marie will have to get her soldering iron out once I've discovered the fault.
